 It’s been a while, much has happened over the past few months since the last Damned Newswire article was published, members of the crew have come and gone, others have shifted to different games and consoles, and GTAOnline continues to entertain others whilst some reminisce about how good GTA IV was. ★ Rockstar Games blessed the game with a new fantastic update that brought a new life to freemode, in the shape of VIP work and Organizations, giving players the chance to earn money through missions that can be intercepted by other organizations, some of which bring back the joys and team work of Team Mafia Work.  More recently the artistry of Commissioner W_Flemming, was once again showcased by ★ Rockstar Games, on Twitter and their Newswire, her take on the three protagonists of V as never seen before, with her unique style and beautifully detailed weaponry highlights her talents as an artist, and the crew is indebted for her continuous support, as a player, artist, friend and co-leader.  Competitively, the Damned in the past few weeks have played a number of friendly crew battles, winning most and losing some. Our respect goes out to FEAR, GATO, MTZW, TSCF and LORD. Catch some of the action on our Youtube channels. More, hopefully friendly battles are coming soon, with SMGS and potentially TDBG, as well as Domestic Battery. Thanks to OnePunch for organizing games, uploading footage and supporting the crew competitively. If you’re in another crew, and want a respectful free aim game with rules, please get in touch.  Crew Meets in 2015 became a major get together on occasional weekends, with themes ranging from the Wild West to Bikers, Military to Mafia, never too serious, always free aim and a lot of fun, hopefully more will be organized in 2016, and help overcome the difficultly free mode has in regards to matchmaking, and many players only ever playing the same maps. As a crew, we’ll continue to support talented creators and hope to showcase the best jobs as part of playlists. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seeing as the VIP update released the Heavy Revolver pistol our next planned theme is a revisit to the Wild West theme.  Image courtesy of ★ Rockstar Games Recently ★ Rockstar Games updated GTAOnline once more giving players the ability to upgrade their Sultans and Banshee’s in Benny’s Garage, that came out with the Low Riders DLC. It’s a small update that also saw another Adversary mode released too, that sounds a little like Turf Wars, like the Extraction Mode sounded a little like Cops N Crooks. Personally, I think it’s a shame they do not bring back the modes from IV, as they were but fitted for Los Santos. Further to this, despite numerous members across the free aim community, free aim assisted is still possible in free aim lobbies, helmets can’t be disabled by hosts, weapon sets do not exist yet, and Easy Way Out continues to be constantly abused across Freemode.  Our Crew number continues to grow, and ROLL recruitment crew is fast nearing 900 members. Recruitment for the Damned, is dependent on attitude above skill, but we only want players that enjoy free aim, if you’re in the crew and do not play free aim, please feel encouraged to try it more, and support this aim preference whenever you can.
Thanks for reading Roll out! AJ.  September was an eventful month for the Damned Brotherhood and the whole GTA Online community. With lots of news, ups and downs, as we look to the future to keep living the GTA Online experience as we did during these two (!!) years of its existence. The news kicked in on September the 8th, when the crew were honored to have W_Flemming's new heist inspired artwork featured on ★ Rockstar Games' Newswire and Twitter feed. We finally ended up privileged to be followed by @RockstarGames on Twitter. Thanks guys! Here you can see new characters portraits and a little intro video.  A week later the latest update hit ★ GTA Online with tons of impromptu free mode events and enjoyable new adversary modes being added together with the ★ Rockstar Editor, that we all have been waiting for to come to next-gen consoles. Our crew members have already started experimenting with it, producing short films, capturing our exploits in Los Santos. Don't miss our next crew newswire to catch up with multiple group video projects coming soon thanks to this amazing new feature.  In further good news, according to some unofficial GTA Online news, many of the transferred modded accounts on PS4 have been wiped of all their advantages by ★ Rockstar, meaning there will be no more cheating double rollers, snack eaters or no recoil shooters in the game. Sadly, however, the fact that Free Aim Assisted preference is still merged with pure Free Aim remains an issue to the competitive side of the game - as Team Death Matches and Captures, - which still prevents the Free Aim community and the crew form enjoying the game as we used to. We all hope that ★ Rockstar will get back to this problem at some point and fix it.  On September the 18th, the latest free aim tournament organized by HOT_KIMERA begun. With 32 crews competing on PS4, the leader of the Capillas (BANG) crew had his work cut out managing the logistics, and the Damned fully supported this fair play initiative. Unfortunately, we fell at the first hurdle to improved rivals TNWO. Nevertheless, we would like to wish all the competitors well and can't wait to see the finals - all bets are on! We have to admit that our performance was regretful then due to the lack of proper teamwork and communication, but we are already looking into amending it. As a result - recently DAMN defeated MOBB in another recent tournament, two rounds to none, thanks to the performance of Jadita, BePractical and Dr. Ripper. Keep it up, guys, as there is still a lot to be improved!  September also saw us hosting two Free Aim fun theme inspired crew meets - «Damned Hippies» and «Damned Bikers» - which were both good laugh and lots of fun. For all those members who wanted to take part but didn't make it there - don't be upset, as we have more crew meets planned soon - themes and dates will be announced on ★ Social Club. First off, sorry for not updating the website recently, a few personal problems has resulted in myself and other members responsible for updating the site to have a few months away. Things are fortunately getting back on track, and I hope everyone is enjoying the Summer. Eleven months have almost passed since ★ The Damned Brotherhood were first featured by ★ Rockstar Games on their Newswire for the first installment of the character artwork designed by ★ W_Flemming. I am pleased to announce this week that the next part of the character artwork is ready to be unveiled, featuring Damned Lieutenants ★ DBNS_Finest, ★ Cilogy, ★ Lazyboy8 and former member ★ Gdsaqqq, in «The Damned Brotherhood: Masks off on Heists». The artwork will be showcased on the ★ Damned Youtube channel this coming Wednesday.  In further news, Commissioner ★ CrimsonFlam3s, is also due to release a tribute video of our favourite GTA IV mode, Cops n Crooks, the timeless and under appreciated Game Mode, together with Team Mafia Work are what led to this crew coming together, we look forward to seeing this and hope ★Rockstar and TakeTwo realize how special GTA IV was to us and many other fans of Grand Theft Auto series. Lastly, to celebrate being part of the crew we will be making it possible for members to purchase Damned Brotherhood T-shirts featuring our iconic winged skull emblem. Let's hope heists are good things, because we've sure waited! The hype is building and on Tuesday after months of waiting, heists will finally release. Structured, co-op missions with new vehicles, higher rewards, new outfits and the release of new free mode activities and fun adversary modes has us all at the Damned salivating at the prospect of new challenges and new ways to enjoy the game. Let's hope the servers hold up our expectations are met and we all have a blast. Last month, and earlier in March, we had the honour of taking part in HOT_KIMERA's latest 4vs4 TDM tournament. Eventually losing in the quarters to the overall winners, HOTZ. Congratulations to them, and thanks to HOT_KIMERA for organising. Overall we managed to finish third in the scoring system based on number of kills, and as a result were mentioned in dispatches again by ★ Rockstar Games. Thanks to all the hard work from the warriors GDsaqqq, Nyze, Portwood-T, Bepractical and Flam3sCrims0n. In other news the crew has enjoyed meets with the Rezylo [ZYLO] crew, GCCC content creators, crazy maps with RobertosCarlos, an off-road meet and celebrated on ps3 with Smoothie_16 and friends with mixed playlists. More crew meets are planned in the coming weeks, together with crew battles both competitive and for fun. 
Looking ahead to the future, we're working together as a group to make our first next gen crew montage video, if you haven't already submit your short clips in a PM to any of the Commissioners. Content should be unique, such as either funny, unusual, technically skilful, spectacular or showcasing your ability. As a crew that isn't just focused on one specific aspect of GTA, it's important we reflect this. Deadline for receiving clips is March 16th, video due out at the end of this month. Lastly welcome to all the new members, we're still currently recruiting selectively, but please remember once we reach 150 dedicated, skilled and with the right attitude members, we will not be recruiting any further, as we believe it's important to remain at a size that allows every member a chance to represent the crew fully and feel a part of it, rather than just a number.
Remember to keep an eye on our Twitter feed for updates, Social Club feed and GTAforums topic, and don't forget to vote on our poll of the month: "What is your favourite option for DMs andTDMs online?"  The Damned have existed longer than most know, we've gone from a humble collection of honest team players on GTA IV, dominating modes such as Cops n Crooks and Team Mafia Work, to becoming a top crew on GTA V competing in Team Death Matches and other modes, we continue to get stronger, and fight harder, always with the attitude that we're humble in victory and respectful in defeat, whilst enjoying GTA's multiplayer experience to the full. We've started HOT KIMERA's 4 vs 4 Body Bangers Tournament really well, unfancied and not expected to win, we have so far. First of all with a very close win [watch here] against about Temple Driveby Ballas [TDBG] , which was then followed by beating Cashout Gang [COGN]. This coming weekend, we face the Hot clan, so wish us luck. Thanks to GDsaqqq for organizing the crew for these games, Nyze, Portwood T, Flam3sCrims0n and BePractical for all representing and doing brilliantly. We can do this.  A few weeks have passed since these promotions, and more are expected soon, but just to say thanks to these players. We don't promote players on ability, but on contribution and loyalty. Nyze and aacc5000 were promoted to Crew Lieutenants. Nyze is one of our strongest shooters and all round players, together with GDsaqqq he has helped pushed the crew forward in many crew battles. aacc5000, aa or ac to some is always willing to give any mode a try, her free aim skills make her a valuable team player, and she always makes an effort to attend crew meet. SirAwesometon, Ckar1zma, WizardHobo, Jar100, Ghostplayer were all promoted to Representatives in the crew.  In other news, I hosted another round racing event, dedicated to the IV classic, and rarely used Sports car, the Futo. Thanks to Muffin Man and Portwood from the crew for supporting the event, ultimately Jameznash took the win after 11 custom races. More details can be found here.  The first official crew meet on PS4 was hosted recently, with a 'Beach theme'. Aussie member JayDiesel managed to narrowly win the playlist, which included a great sniper battle on Vespucci beach, a bifta / go kart track and one very dodgy monster truck race. Highlight for me however was Zorvaine's excellent Capture map on the Villa's. The game was tight, and both teams played very well. I hope everyone had fun, more crew meets are expected soon on both PS4 and PS3. If you want to host a playlist or set up a crew meet, please feel welcome. In other competitive news, the crew has been engaging with a small crew known as OWNE, winning some and losing some. We have also faced TNWO, WFFW and others. The crew has also expanded it's communication links between members, and we've got a large group chat on Whatsapp, if you have this app and want to join , please get in touch with a Commissioner. Remember if you use Twitter to follow us there too. Lastly, Commissioner Flemming's second set of character portraits are nearly complete, and will be unveiled in time for the heists. Can't wait to see this!  Time flies, and it’s already Christmas, last year ★Rockstar gave us snow, this year maybe the snow will turn red. The crew has started to settle on PS4, but we’re still in a period of transition as we deal with the increased number of members, with old friends re-joining once more for PS4 and new members being welcomed as we continue to exist on both new gen and old gen consoles. If 2014 was anything to go by, 2015 should only get better for the crew, as things truly start to settle and Heists finally make their way to us. We’ll also be fully engaged with both fun and competitive events, crew tournaments and head to heads.  I would also like to take this moment to announce the deserved and somewhat overdue promotion of two good friends and loyal members to the Rank of Commissioner, both of whom have supported the crew during the GTA IV era and continue to do so now. True Brothers of the Damned we salute you! Firstly ★ TheIllaDopest. Better known as Dope, he has helped the crew in battles across free mode and TDM, his musical talents have also been praised by ★ Rockstar and he’s always been willing to represent the crew when needed. Secondly, ★ Flam3sCrims0n, better known as Flam3s, a player who I originally met in Cops N Crooks, a top shooter in the game with both a rifle or a sniper, and plays for fun. Both players feature in the original crew portrait created by Flemming, and more can be read about them here. Further promotions include PS3 based ★ PapaIsSauced to Representative, and PS4 based ★ Rekba and ★ Sk16v to Representative also. In competitive news the crew has engaged with several crew battles, winning all but one. Victories were recorded over RISE, XDBX, T213 and we were narrowly beat by MTMC. More crew battle games are planned and a rematch against MTMC is likely. Further to this, more fun crew meets and mixed playlists will also continually be hosted.  Here's another small Q & A for newer members to understand a little better what we're about. ★ Are the Damned Brotherhood a biker themed gang or motorcycle club? No. Definitely not. To fully explain this confusion we have to go back the crew`s very roots. As crew that had developed on GTA Forums we initially embraced the theme of an outlaw biker gang. This was the previous leader’s vision and was a completely aesthetic venture. We don’t do ride along. We don’t dress as bikers and we don’t do role play. After passing the mantle to ★ ajbns87 and his Co-founder ★ Madmonk420 the crew set about becoming a competitive crew both on and outside GTA Forums. The theme embraced again was simply the way crews present themselves on GTA Forums. We are highly competitive crew looking for free aim crew battles and Free mode madness. We are not here to make up numbers but to make a name for ourselves. Of course there will be time for a laugh and bit fun but only after business is taken care of. ★ I want to join, but I've never played free aim, can I still join? Yes, but you must show a willingness to learn and participate in free aim lobbies. We will help you learn and get used to it, but you must also teach yourself and keep trying. Never give up. ★ What's the 'Damned Recruitment' crew? When we were recognized by ★ Rockstar, we became overwhelmed by applicants, to deal with this Damned Recruitment ROLL was created and is for players wishing to join the Damned, but who have not been invited. In ROLL players are encouraged to add senior members of the Damned, and participate in playlists and events. If players show that they are mature, skilled, active and down to earth, they get invited to the Brotherhood DAMN. If you have any questions, please ask in the comments or get in contact.
